Due diligence is proceeding more slowly than expected as we work out the kinks on Distributed Due Diligence.
That’s the bad news.
The good news is that we’re digging further into this deal than any before.
So we’ll compress this into a one-month timeline — which is actually the plan for all deals going forward.

March 16 – Paperwork available to review and sign

I think bulk / value wine was well overdue a correction. Wine will do well in the long term but needs to be focused on quality, transparency, and provenance (not just marketing).
Expect a rise in high quality producers in new world regions serving the domestic markets they operate in with much more accuracy and relevancy and in the mid-term, some consolidation.
Short term pain for legacy producers shilling out mass produced, poor quality wine is not necessarily a bad thing…
