Investors recoup from pound one of box office returns and get a share of profits in proportion to investment, pro-rata/pari-passu with Launch Box.” – Andrew
- Jason Cronen shared a perspective from Barron’s on pre-IPO deal marketing. Stefan followed up with scathing hit piece on Dealmaker.
“Look, I’ll say this: Dealmaker, MorningBrew, and the cabal of high-volume, finance-adjacent newsletters cover their bases well. They check the right legal boxes, the way they operate is above board.
Here’s the problem: They don’t do their homework… The companies they work with are…simply the ones who pay to play. That’s it… Zero due diligence is done. It’s basically just take the money, run the ad, rinse, repeat.
But I don’t think going after Dealmaker is the right move here. Dealmaker is basically just a broker. They sit in between the companies and the publishers. Ultimately, it’s the publisher’s responsibility to do due diligence.” – Stefan

🍊 Orange County: Private Tour of Panhwar Jet (Apr 15)
Every once in a while we get the chance to step inside a project while it’s still early. When the the engineering and path forward are very real.
On Wednesday, April 15, we’ll be visiting the home of Panhwar Jet in Newport Beach for an evening with founder Nick Panhwar, who is building a new category of electric unmanned cargo aircraft designed for next-generation logistics networks.
Panhwar is a really cool company. They’re making waves, expanding in China, and just completed a new facility in Newport Beach.
During the evening, Nick will walk us through what the team is building, the engineering challenges behind unmanned cargo aircraft, and why the logistics industry may be entering a new era of electrified flight.
