About the Asset

This is a BGS 9 graded triple signature card for Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Magic Johnson. It’s one of only three. If it feels familiar, though, it’s because Collectable IPOed another of of their triple signature cards a couple weeks ago.

For this asset, Insiders also learned:

  • Projected growth trend
  • Full valuation
  • Asset class volatility
  • Our verdict on the asset as an investment

About the drop

This asset will drop on Collectable on 24th June 2021 at 8pm EST. It has a market cap of $125k with $28,750 retained equity (23%). It will be locked up for around eight weeks before trading daily.

About Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Magic Johnson

We’ve written about all three of these guys before…lots. Like two weeks ago. For the same three players.

Recent sales history and Valuation

The consignor bought this from Goldin Auctions 7th March 2021 for $91,200. Since then, this is how each player’s key rookies have done:

  • LeBron James – down 50%
  • Michael Jordan – down 55%
  • Magic Johnson – down 7%

Other ways to invest

If you want to get in on cards featuring multiple basketball legends, there’s no shortage of opportunities:

$3,899 for the beauty, which features LeBron in his high school jersey.

LEBRON JAMES MAGIC JOHNSON JULIUS ERVING 2012-13 UD EXQUISITE AUTO AUTOGRAPH /10

This raw card, featuring both LeBron and Magic looks a steal at $87.

I’ve not done any work to value this card, which is listed at $50k, but at /3 and featuring MJ, LeBron, Kobe, and Magic, it’s a gorgeous piece of art…even at BGS 8.
