Mantle cards will always be blue chip, so these are likely to tick up 10% a year at a minimum.

Intangibles
Mickey Mantle lived a notoriously hedonistic life, because (he says) his dad and grandad died early, and he didn’t want to miss out on anything. He very sadly died just three months after receiving a liver transplant.
What is the John Elway basket?
This is a pair of 1984 John Elway rookie cards each graded PSA 10. The set suffers from numerous print defects, which makes PSA 10s very rare.
This card is heavily counterfeited, though there’s reason to suspect any problems with this pair in particular.
It IPOs for $29,750 on Collectable at 8pm EST 29th April 2021 with no retained equity.

Cultural Relevance
John Elway was one of the premier quarterbacks of the 1980s and 1990s, and he was widely known as a comeback specialist. His 47 total fourth-quarter comebacks remains a record today.
It took awhile, but he finally won a pair of Super Bowls after six unsuccessful playoff berths and three Super Bowl losses. He also has a win as the team’s GM.
His second win, for which he was awarded the Super Bowl MVP, was his last game.
A few remarkable stats:
- Nine Pro-Bowls
- 1990s All-Decade team
- 33 individual Broncos franchise records
- Fourth among QBs for career wins (148)
- Second most sacks (516)
- Tenth most TD passes (300)
- Elected to the HOF in 2004
Compared to other NFL players to have IPO’ed across fractional platforms, though, Elway is in the lower tier of cultural relevance.
I would put Elway into the “Great but not a Legend” status, and this seems to confirm that. That’s Smug Tom Brady top right, by the way.

Growth Outlook and Future Catalysts
Elway continues to be active within the Broncos organisation; he’s currently the President of Football Operations. I don’t think there are any realistic catalysts on the horizon (he’s still young; already in the HOF), this this one will probably tick up in time with other NFL cards.

This will have a roughly 90 day lockup period then will trade daily.

Intangibles
Elway divorced his college-sweetheart wife in 2003 and married a Raiderette (cheerleader) in 2009. A bit cliche, John.
