- Sports fans have a lot to watch this week with Damian Lillard releasing a line of NFTs and Makersplace showcasing artwork commemorating the achievements of the Manning family.
- Fashionistas will appreciate the fashion legend Mario Testino entering the scene.
- But any NFT art fan should look forward to the collaboration between an old-school auction house, Sotheby’s, and the new-school NFT auction house, Nifty Gateway, for a three day collection from Pak.

Pak is an anonymous artist who has been active in the digital art world for over 20 years and is one of the leading artists in the NFT space.
Sotheby’s is one of the largest auction houses for high end art and luxury goods. They have been in operation since 1744.

This is a really interesting drop because Pak is creating effectively fungible non-fungible tokens. You can buy different amounts of “cubes” (1/5/10/20/50/100/500/1000) for $500 per cube with no limits during the purchase periods.
Each of those increments is it’s own NFT, so if you were to buy 16 cubes you would get a 10, a 5, and a 1 cube. Cubes will be available for sale Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but the listing and documents around this sale did not explicitly state if the price would change on future days.
There are also a few other pieces with varying requirements, including being in the top 100 cube purchasers, posting #pakwashere to the largest social media audience (Paris Hilton is currently in the lead), or solving a puzzle.

These will be a long term play (5+ months) as I believe Pak will be building something around this project. There will be a ton of cubes in circulation (which may lead to short run price drops), but they likely will be used as some form of currency in the NFT space in the future.

Mario Testino is an incredibly influential fashion photographer who works with the top-tier celebrities and models. His art has been on display in museums worldwide and his exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London was their highest attended exhibition ever.
