Platform Improvements and Updates
Loads going on behind the scenes to improve your Altea experience.
Our deal platform, DealDesk, is nearly ready. It’ll be a much slicker and user-friendly alternative to our current Deal Triage page. The team is working through the final bugs before launching it (hopefully next week).
Our Art II investors have been wonderfully patient as the dev team irons out complications with the new SPV investment portal. We’re eating our greens now to enjoy an awesome experience down the line.
With the new funding platform, you’ll be able to:
- View all your Altea investments in one place, including Alts 1
- Save your KYC and accreditation status on file
- Invest in new Altea SPVs with just a few clicks

This week, we’ve piloted an AI-powered deal analysis tool to summarise and evaluate new opportunities in Deal Triage. It includes a deal overview, reasons to like the deal, reasons to be cautious, and a scoring system. It’s very rough still, but even early results provide useful context. This will continue to improve.

We’ve got a number of deals in the system that we can either progress or archive.
Progress means:
- Q&A sessions
- Altea SPVs
- Opening opportunities to the wider Alts community, if appropriate
But if there’s no interest in a particular opportunity (which is fine!), we won’t do any of that stuff.

Alts 1 represents a pioneering venture into the realm of alternative investments, seeking to capitalize on unconventional assets historically outperforming traditional market instruments. The fund, led by a team with a blend of military, financial, and technological expertise, positions itself as a dynamic entity agile enough to exploit market inefficiencies across a broad spectrum of alternative assets, including art, crypto, tequila, and more niche ventures like sports cards and distressed music rights.
Funding Status: $400k new interest
Altea Tequila SPV
- Investment size: $10k minimum
- Hold period: 3 – 5 years
- Potential IRR: 35% to 40%
- Fees: 2% management | 20% carry | nominal one-time subscription TBC
What’s the deal
Altea will acquire 50+ barrels of 100% agave tequila through this SPV to buy and hold for at least 3 years as the spirits age.
The barrels will be acquired, stored, and disposed of through our network of tequila brokers, private collectors, and exclusive brands in Jalisco, Mexico, over the course of 3 to 5 years.
Funding Status: $387k firm commits
What’s changed since last week
This should be up on the SPV platform by next week, and we’re aiming to barrel the tequila the week of 20th May.
Frank Auerbach Bundle

- Duration: 3 – 10 years
- Potential IRR: 15% to 20%
- Fees: 1.5% management | 20% carry
Through the same London art connection that brought us Art Bundle I, which was 25% oversubscribed and has returned 19% in three months, we have the opportunity to acquire a unique piece by legendary German/British artist Frank Auerbach.
