Inverse Cramer Weekly Update — Jan 28

Welcome to Inverse Cramer by Alts.co: Tracking Jim Cramer’s stock picks so you can do the opposite 🙃

Monday, Jan 22

I don’t trust it I’ve got to tell you. I checked in with Larry William again, now he has been saying, you’ve got to get out of Bitcoin. He’s been so right. I’ve called him and ask are we done going down, he goes ‘No, stay away.’

-On Riot Platforms ($RIOT)

I think they have too much exposure to options and Bitcoin for their customer. I need them to get better basic customers. I suggest you go buy Schwab.

-On Robinhood Markets ($HOOD)

They’re just burying us under those private equity stocks. Well the private equity guys are right to get down, and everyone who bought it was wrong, I’m glad we pushed back. It still sells at 39x its earnings, too expensive for a restaurant thing.

-On Portillos ($PTLO)

Sad to say I remembered when it was a large cap and the market was big too. Fluor missed the quarter more times than they made the quarter. We’re gonna stay away from them, even though we do like the infrastructure thing, but we’re not gonna play that way.

-On Fluor ($FLR)

Illumina is a second rate Danaher, you could be with second-rate. Look, I’ve been with a lot of second raters in my life, and I think 2nd raters have a place. Just like mediocrity has a place in the Supreme Court. But we’re gonna buy Danaher and not Illumina. We’ll just put the 2nd rater to the side for the moment.

-On Illumina ($ILMN)

I think you could make a couple of smackers in Delta, but these are nothing more than that. These are all trades. People have to understand, that airlines are trades. They had a renaissance, that’s kind of going away, now it’s up and down. I say stay away.

-On Boeing ($BA)

It’s hard. The premiumization quality of almost everything is not doing well. I’m gonna have to say, let’s take a pass from Ferrari.

-On Ferrari ($RACE)

Wednesday, Jan 24

No, you’re not gonna buy that stock. It’s like DraftKings, you can’t play it in this state.

-On US Silica Holdings ($SLCA)

It’s a government employee kind of story. It always seems to have enough orders. It’s super expensive vs the others in the industry, but I will bless it.

-On Tetra Tech ($TTEK)

The problem is it’s a spec. But I like your call. I would own it at 5 bucks.

-On Getty Images ($GETY)

Thursday, Jan 25

No, no, no. It bounces for 4 points then it goes down again. This one along with Enphase. they’re just too no. Let me throw in Bloom Energy, not solar not so good. And Plug Power, grenade, fire in the hole.

-On SolarEdge Tech ($SEDG)

I think you buy it (Buy, Buy, Buy), period end of story. I thought that was an amazing quarter. The stock should go much higher.

-On Blackrock ($BLK)

Friday, Jan 26

We like those guys so much. This thing has all the kind of energy that I like under one roof. Good call.

-On Constellation Energy ($CEG)

I feel badly, I can’t get into it. You got the chat, you got the attention, you got people wanting not to pay up anymore. I cannot press the buy button.

-On Chegg ($CHGG)

I like Timken. It’s so cheap down here. I think it’s real good.

-On Timken ($TKR)

I’m not touching that group, UnitedHealth. That group have a massive reset and no one knows. As much as I respect the work of these companies, they have no idea what’s going on with their business right now.

-On UnitedHealth ($UNH)
